SIFA Conference: Museums,

Coastlines and the Sea

20-22 May 2015 

 

The opening of this exhibition coincides with a conference held at Sainsbury Centre that focuses on similar themes to the those in the exhibition. This conference will feature speakers from Norfolk as well as Portugal, USA, Benin and other countries who will explore idas such as coastal communities, coastal environments, and how art and museums engage in the sea. 

 

This exhibition acts as another perspective for consideration during the conference especially as it looks into artists' interpretations of human interaction with the sea. A second exhibition is opening alongside Sculpting Identity which looks at the interesting life of Great Yarmouth resident, Rhoda Gray.
